Posting your first shift

From setting up your facility to approving the first timesheet: what to do, and the choices you'll make along the way.

Before you post

  • Your address: clinicians see their distance from it, and clock-in is checked against it.
  • A card for billing: added through Stripe in Billing. It's charged when you approve a worked shift.
  • Workplace notes: parking, the entrance, who to ask for. You can add a short quiz new clinicians take before their first shift.

Posting

Choose the role, department, date, hours and rate. You'll see what the shift will cost you and what the clinician will earn. Then decide how it's booked:

  • First to claim: any clinician who meets the requirements can book it straight away.
  • Manager approval: every booking request comes to you to approve or decline.

You can also require particular credentials or a minimum CoveScore, and open the shift to your preferred roster first. Need someone fast? Mark it urgent to use First Call.

On the day

You'll see when the clinician clocks in, and whether their location was confirmed. Message them any time in the app.

Approving and paying

After the shift, review the timesheet: hours, breaks and the clock-in check. Approve it and your card is charged for that shift, and the clinician is paid. If something doesn't look right, open a dispute instead and nobody is paid until it's settled.
